Below the central church of the village you can find the church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. Prior to the construction of the Evangelistria, this particular church was the central church of the village. The older ones tell that when the church was little for the needs of the village, then the priest gathered all the village residents to see what they would do. At this gathering it was decided to build another larger church, Evangelistria. For the construction costs, each village family has agreed in writing to give 10% of its income until the church is completed. The church is a twin (Dormition of the Virgin Mary and the Holy Spirit), and in its enclosure is the cemetery of the village.
